It is announced that on 26 and 27 April 2019 the congress will be held in
Monsummano Terme (PT): “Oscar Giacchi (1834-1907) and the psychiatry of his
time” with the patronage and logistical support of the local Municipal
Administration.
This event is the 2019 event of the two-yearly conferences of the “History of
psychiatry and other behavioral sciences” section created in 2012 in the Italian
Society of Medical History. It is also an opportunity to study and research for
members of the Italian Psychiatric Society who are members of the special section of
“History of Psychiatry”, who are also invited to present some historical medical work
on their discipline.
The date of the conference was chosen based on the availability of the municipality
of Monsummano Terme and the neighboring municipalities to offer free admission
to numerous places of the territory throughout the week, attracting culture and
entertainment.
Please send the title by the middle of March 2019 and a very brief abstract to the
organizer of the same congress.
